Thank you for keeping the energy up for our preview audience!!
I am so proud of each and every one of you.
Sophie – black socks!
Act I:
Oct - let Scap say “about
these trousers” instead of interrupting.
Maddie – YES! Good look for you and the schemer’s boogie!
All – YOU GUYS ARE KILLING IT UP THERE!!
Leander – volume and articulation!
Selina/Scap – Good job on the cloak!
Lea – wait for Syl to say Zamboni before you yell Zerbinette.
Scapin – please don’t cover your mouth on “erratic gentleman
I told you about” – makes it v. hard to understand you.
Scap/Arg – Get past the hedge on “I can get him back…” “NO”.
Make that old guy run farther!
Geronte – money bad jingles too much when you hit it against
the ground during your tantrum.
George – that was the saddest walk offstage that I have
seen. Good job!!
Act II:
Ginger – keep the smiley sun turned smiley side away from
the audience until going onto the stage.
Ger/Scapin – I think you dropped some lines at the top of
this scene? Ger asks about his son before Scapin tells him “they” are after
him.
Scap – say the camouflage line after pulling out the bag –
we lost it entirely in you running over and sticking your head behind the wall.
Scaaaaaaaaaapiiiiiin – you caaaaaan’t make noise with the
sword when you are Scapin, only when you are the foreigners.
Ger – can you pick up the bag and throw it over the hedge
instead of kicking it? Not through the hedge, over it. We gotta get that thing
offstage!
Scapin – where’s your PTA necklace? I know Erin put it with
the outfit…
Syl – gooood sneaking away during reunion
Nerine – “okay” needs to be louder. All your other lines
were loud enough, though!
Mob – getting spread a little thin again…
Scaaaaaapin - flirt
with Argante longer at the window. Staaand in the window, lean out, wiggle your
chest, wink some, whatever, just really reel him in before you disappoint him.
All – The chase scene
is dragging a little. Make sure the cues are picked up fast fast fast!!
Wolf – when gma slug comes out, you question what is in your
booze. The whole time she is onstage. That is the blocking, please follow it.
George – I think we need to shorten the wedding at the end a
bit – it’s running too long
All – George appreciation at the end needs to run faster…
tighten the space in-between people coming up. Next people start going up as
the last one is ending.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NATHANIEL!!!
Act II ended up with more notes than Act I for the first
time… Act I ran quick and good and smooth – Act II felt like it lost a lot of
energy. Remember to keep that energy up and flowing!!
Thank you for a great show tonight! I’m so excited for
opening tomorrow!
<3 Love you guys so much!!
